Anatomy Notes

Terms of Use

Effective date: October 5, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to Anatomy Notes: Human Body Quiz (“Anatomy Notes”, the “App”), published by Mert Korkmaz under the name MertApp (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The App

Anatomy Notes is a free study tool with notes, diagrams, quizzes and flashcards about human anatomy and physiology. It is provided for personal, non-commercial learning and revision. It is not a substitute for textbooks, formal teaching or professional training, and we do not guarantee any particular exam result.

2. Not medical advice

The content of the App is for educational purposes only. It is not medical advice and must not be used to diagnose, treat or manage any health condition, or to make clinical decisions about patients. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

3. Accuracy of content

We work to keep the content accurate, but anatomy notes are simplified summaries and may contain errors or omissions. Translations into languages other than English are partly produced by machine translation and may be less precise than the English text. Latin terms follow Terminologia Anatomica. If you find a mistake, please tell us.

4. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you got it from (the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or the Google Play Terms of Service).

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Advertising

The App is free because it shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or for the products and services they promote. How ad data is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code and original text belong to Mert Korkmaz or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. “Anatomy Notes” and the MertApp name and logos may not be used without our permission. Parts of the study notes are adapted from Anatomy and Physiology 2e by OpenStax (Rice University), licensed under CC BY 4.0. Third-party components, such as open-source libraries and any third-party illustrations, are used under their own licences and credited in the App under About & credits.

8. Your progress

Your progress is stored only on your device. We cannot restore it if you delete the App, change devices, reset your progress or if your device storage is cleared.

9. Updates and availability

We may update, change or remove features or content of the App, or stop offering it, at any time. Some updates may be needed to keep using the App. We do not promise that the App will always be available or free of errors.

10. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for any decision made on the basis of the App’s content, or for any loss of data or progress, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero. This does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Apple-specific terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product claims, legal compliance claims or intellectual property claims relating to the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple’s only obligation is to refund the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

13. Termination

Your licence ends automatically if you break these Terms. You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
