Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Construction Cost Calculator (the “App”) handles information. The App is published by Mert Korkmaz under the name MertApp (“we”, “us”). It applies to the App on iOS and Android.

In short: Construction Cost Calculator has no accounts, no sign-up and no in-app purchases. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location. Your calculations, projects and prices stay on your device. The App shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google may process device and ad-related data to deliver and measure those ads.

1. Information stored only on your device

The App saves the following locally on your device so it can work:

the values you enter in the calculators, and their results,
material prices you type in, and cost estimates,
projects you create, their names and notes, and the calculations you save to them,
your calculation history, favourite tools and recently used tools,
settings (language, unit system, currency, theme, decimal places and default waste allowance).

This information is never sent to us. We have no servers that receive it. Deleting the App, or using Settings → Delete all data in the App, removes it.

2. Backups and sharing

If you use Settings → Export backup, the App creates a backup file with your projects and history and hands it to your device’s share sheet or file picker. You choose where that file goes, for example your Files app, a cloud drive or an email. The same applies when you share or copy a result. We do not receive these files or messages, and the service you send them to handles them under its own privacy policy.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Construction Cost Calculator is free and is supported by banner and interstitial ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show ads, prevent fraud and measure ad performance, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:

device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or, only if you allow it, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA),
IP address (used to estimate an approximate location, such as country),
device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and app version,
ad interaction data, such as ad views and taps, and diagnostic data such as crashes of the ad SDK.

This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We do not receive information that identifies you personally. Google’s use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your choices

Ad personalization (Android): you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device’s Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
Ad personalization (iOS): the App asks for permission to track through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. The calculators work the same whether you allow it or not. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: where the law requires your consent for ads, the App asks for it with a consent message (Google’s User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options in the App.
Deleting your data: Settings → Delete all data removes your projects, history and settings from the device.
Uninstalling the App stops all data collection by the App.

5. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)

Local storage of your calculations, projects and settings is necessary to provide the tool you asked for. Personalized advertising is based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Non-personalized advertising, fraud prevention and ad measurement are based on our legitimate interest in keeping the App free.

6. Children

Construction Cost Calculator is a general-audience utility for builders, contractors and people planning home projects. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.

7. Data retention and security

Because we do not run servers for the App, we do not store your data. Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it in the App or delete the App, and it is protected by your device’s own security, such as its screen lock. Data processed by Google is kept in line with Google’s own retention policies.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Turkey’s KVKK, or US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold personal data about you, most requests are handled in the App, through your device settings or directly with Google. You may still contact us and we will help, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Third-party links

Ads and links in the App may lead to websites or apps we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when the App gains new features. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the App’s store listing release notes.
