Terms of Use
These terms apply to Speak Chinese, published by Mert Korkmaz under the name MertApp (“we”, “us”). By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app. Contact: hezarfentech@gmail.com.
1. Use of the app
Speak Chinese provides Chinese-language conversation practice, AI feedback, vocabulary and review tools. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app subject to these terms and your store's rules. You must be at least 18 to use AI features. You are responsible for complying with applicable law and for the content you submit.
2. AI feedback and availability
AI content can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Check translations, pronunciation and corrections before relying on them. The app is an educational tool and does not guarantee fluency, examination results or professional advice. Online features depend on internet access and third-party services. Offline or fallback responses may offer limited functionality. We may update features and usage limits; purchased access remains subject to applicable consumer rights and store terms.
3. Your content and acceptable use
You retain your rights in content you submit. You permit us and our service providers to process it as needed to provide the features you request, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive or confidential information, unlawful content, or content you lack permission to use. Do not abuse the service, bypass security or usage limits, disrupt systems, or reverse-engineer the app except where applicable law permits it. Similar AI responses may be generated for other users.
4. Accounts and data
The app uses an anonymous account for profile and cloud correction storage. This does not mean all data processing is anonymous. Signing out, uninstalling or removing app data can make an anonymous account inaccessible. Keep any information you need separately. Account deletion is available in the profile tab; it does not cancel subscriptions. Privacy, service-provider processing and deletion limitations are explained in the Privacy Policy.
5. Subscriptions, trials and payments
Premium access may be offered through recurring subscriptions. Available products, billing periods, localized prices, included features and any usage limits are shown in the app and the store purchase confirmation before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal in accordance with your store's rules. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account may be charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. Eligible introductory offers or free trials are shown only when available; the offer duration and renewal price are displayed before purchase. A trial converts to the displayed paid subscription unless canceled on time. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when purchasing a subscription, subject to the store's terms.
Manage or cancel in your device's subscription settings: Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues to the end of the paid period, subject to store rules. Uninstalling the app, signing out or deleting an app account does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore Purchases with the same store account to restore eligible purchases.
Refunds, payment disputes, price-change notices and subscription billing are handled under the relevant store's rules and applicable consumer law. No provision here limits mandatory refund or consumer rights.
6. App ownership and third-party services
We and our licensors retain rights in the app's software, design and materials. Third-party services are governed by their own applicable terms. For the app license on Apple platforms, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a separate valid custom license is supplied through the App Store; these terms additionally explain our service and subscription conditions. Apple is not responsible for our service or its content.
7. Service limitations and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without guarantees that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on inaccurate AI content to the extent the law permits. These terms do not exclude liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
8. Ending use and changes
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account through the profile tab. We may restrict access when necessary to address unlawful use, abuse or security risks, subject to applicable law. Updated terms will be published on this page with a new effective date; material changes will be notified where required. Changes do not remove existing mandatory consumer rights.
