Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Healthy Recipes – Weight Loss (“Healthy Recipes”, the “App”) handles information. The App is published by Mert Korkmaz under the name MertApp (“we”, “us”). It applies to the App on iOS and Android.
In short: Healthy Recipes has no accounts, no sign-up and no in-app purchases. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, health data or precise location. Your favorites, shopping list and plan progress stay on your device. The App shows ads through Google AdMob, and Google may process device and ad-related data to deliver and measure those ads.
1. Information stored only on your device
The App saves the following locally on your device so it can work:
- favorite recipes and your shopping list,
- your progress in the 28-day plan (start date and meals ticked off),
- settings (language, units, theme, reminder on/off and reminder time),
- a simple counter of finished cooking sessions, used only to space out ads.
This information is never sent to us. We have no servers that receive it. Deleting the App removes it. You can also clear your shopping list or restart the plan inside the App.
2. Notifications
If you turn on the daily recipe reminder, the App schedules it locally on your device. No push server is used and no data is sent anywhere. You can turn it off in the App’s settings or in your device settings.
3. Sharing
When you share a recipe or the App, the App opens your device’s standard share sheet. What you share, and with whom, is up to you; we do not see or store it.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Healthy Recipes is free and is supported by ads served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show ads, prevent fraud and measure ad performance, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or, only if you allow it, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA),
- IP address (used to estimate an approximate location, such as country),
- device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, language and app version,
- ad interaction data, such as ad views and taps, and diagnostic data such as crashes of the ad SDK.
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We do not receive information that identifies you personally. Google’s use of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your choices
- Ad personalization (Android): you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your device’s Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Ad personalization (iOS): the App may ask for permission to track through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. The App works the same whether you allow it or not. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland: where the law requires your consent for ads, the App asks for it with a consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy choices in the App.
- Uninstalling the App stops all data collection by the App.
6. Earlier versions of the App
Earlier versions of Healthy Recipes used Google Firebase services and offered optional sign-in and purchases. The current version no longer uses Firebase, accounts or purchases. If you used an account in an earlier version and want any related data deleted, email us from the address you used and we will delete it.
7. Legal bases (EEA and UK users)
Local storage of your favorites, list, plan and settings is necessary to provide the App you asked for. Personalized advertising is based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. Non-personalized advertising, fraud prevention and ad measurement are based on our legitimate interest in keeping the App free.
8. Children
Healthy Recipes is a general-audience cooking app. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will help remove it.
9. Data retention and security
Because we do not run servers for the App, we do not store your data. Data stored on your device stays there until you clear it or delete the App. Data processed by Google is kept in line with Google’s own retention policies.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Turkey’s KVKK, or US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to its processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not hold personal data about you, most requests are handled through your device settings or directly with Google. You may still contact us and we will help, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Third-party links
Ads and links in the App may lead to websites or apps we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when the App gains new features. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Significant changes will also be announced in the App’s store listing release notes.
