Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to Healthy Recipes – Weight Loss (“Healthy Recipes”, the “App”), published by Mert Korkmaz under the name MertApp (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. The App
Healthy Recipes is a free collection of light, everyday recipes with a 28-day meal plan, a shopping list, favorites and a step-by-step cooking mode. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use.
2. Not medical or dietary advice
The App is for general information only. It is not medical, nutritional or dietary advice, and it is not a treatment for any condition, including obesity, diabetes, heart disease or eating disorders. The 28-day plan is a general example, not a personalized diet, and we do not promise any weight loss result. Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, take medication, or have a health condition.
3. Nutrition values, allergens and food safety
Calories and nutrition values are estimates calculated from typical ingredients and may differ from what you cook. Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens such as nuts, peanuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, sesame, fish and shellfish; always check ingredient labels and adapt recipes to your own needs. Follow safe food handling, cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs thoroughly, and take care with knives, hot surfaces and appliances. You cook at your own risk.
4. Accuracy of content
We work to keep the recipes accurate, but they may contain errors or omissions. Translations into languages other than English are partly produced with machine assistance and may be less precise than the English text. Recipe photos are illustrations and the finished dish may look different. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
5. Licence
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and use the App on devices you own or control, in line with these Terms and the rules of the store you got it from (the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, or the Google Play Terms of Service).
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell or rent the App or any part of it, including republishing its recipes or images in bulk,
- reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it,
- interfere with the App’s advertising, for example by generating fake ad impressions or clicks,
- use the App for any unlawful purpose.
Sharing a single recipe with friends and family through the App’s share feature is welcome.
7. Advertising
The App is free because it shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or for the products and services they promote. How ad data is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The App, its design, code, recipe texts and images belong to Mert Korkmaz or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. “Healthy Recipes” as used for the App and the MertApp name and logos may not be used without our permission. Third-party components, such as open-source libraries, are used under their own licences.
9. Your data on the device
Your favorites, shopping list and plan progress are stored only on your device. We cannot restore them if you delete the App, change devices or if your device storage is cleared.
10. Updates and availability
We may update, change or remove features or content of the App, or stop offering it, at any time. Some updates may be needed to keep using the App. We do not promise that the App will always be available or free of errors.
11. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for any allergic reaction, illness or injury resulting from preparing or eating a recipe, for any diet or health decision made on the basis of the App’s content, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for it, which is zero. This does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Apple-specific terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product claims, legal compliance claims or intellectual property claims relating to the App. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple’s only obligation is to refund the purchase price, if any. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
14. Termination
Your licence ends automatically if you break these Terms. You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims in your local courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
